Brief Itinerary
Day1- Unveiling the Adventure – From Marrakech to M’hamid
Embark on your journey from Marrakech early morning (7 am), traversing the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass. Witness the unfolding landscapes and visit historical kasbahs, including the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a famous site for Hollywood films.
Continue through the Draa river valley, seeing apanaromic view of Barber villages, reaching Zagora; the cpital of dates, and finally towards the gate of Sahara Desert, M’hamid. Your evening awaits in a Nomadic standard camp, setting the stage for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 – Nature’s Embrace – M’hamid to Ras Nekhal and Sidi Naji
Step into the heart of the wilderness on the first-day camel trek, retracing the paths of ancient trans-Saharan caravans. Accompany Sahrawi nomads on a camel trek from M’hamid to Ras Nekhal and Sidi Naji, immersing yourself in the enchanting desert landscape. The rhythmic footsteps of the camels and the vast expanse of the Sahara create an atmosphere of true exploration.

Day 3 – Deepening Connections – Sidi Naji to Lhdibat
As the camel trek continues, embrace the tranquillity of the desert morning during a 2 to 2.5-hour walk. Leave the dunes of Sidi Naji behind, delving deeper into the Sahara through another 2-2:30 hour afternoon walk. Connect with the landscape and yourself, fostering bonds that mirror the authenticity Wild & Vulnerable Journeys aims to instill in each journey.

Day 4 – Insights in the Wilderness – Erg Zahar to Erg Sedra
Venture into varied landscapes, from Bougarn to Oued Drâa. The day culminates with the installation of nomadic tents at Erg Sedra, creating an immersive experience in the heart of the desert. Gain insights into the desert’s secrets and savor the unique connection with nature, embodying the adventurous spirit of your travel offerings.

Day 5 – Desert Immersion, Sensory experiences: – Erg Sedra to Erg Chigaga
Hiking: Half hooves, half on Foot
On the fourth day of your camel trek, hike and discover the awe-inspiring dunes of Erg Zahar. You will discover the splendid dunes revealing the desert. As far as the eye can see, you can hear the sound that the dunes produce in contact with the wind. Feel the vastness of the desert and marvel at the landscapes, spending the night surrounded by the beauty of Erg Chigaga.

Day 6 – Desert Odyssey – Erg Chigaga to Erg Zmaila

Your last night in the Sahara Desert encapsulates the essence of off-the-grid travel, offering a unique perspective on the untouched beauty of the Sahara.

Day 7 – Homeward Bound – Erg Zmaila to M’hamid
As your Sahara trek nears its end, savor the final morning trek from Erg Zmaila back to M’hamid. In the morning, after breakfast, you start your trekking in the Sahara from Erg Zmila towards M’hamid.

Day 8 – Reflect and Depart – M’hamid to Marrakech
Conclude your transformative journey by bidding farewell to the Sahara and retracing your steps through the Atlas Mountains. Best Time to Sahara Desert
Spring is often hailed as the best time to visit the Sahara Desert. From March to May, the temperatures are moderate, ranging between 20°C and 30°C. Nights are cooler but not as freezing as in the winter months, averaging around 10°C to 15°C It’s the perfect season for camel trekking and overnight stays in desert camps.
